Improving profitability through energy efficiency

The Dairy Industry Resource Advantage (DIRA) Program, a third-party energy efficiency program sponsored by Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) and administered by Resource Solutions Group, provides energy efficiency engineering services and incentives to qualifying dairies that receive gas and/ or electric service from PG&E. The focus of the DIRA Program is to achieve lower energy use and increase sustainability in the dairy industry.

Incentives

All engineering and technical services provided by the Dairy Industry Resource Advantage Program are provided at no out-of-pocket cost to participating customers. Rebates offered are equivalent to rates currently offered by PG&E’s core energy efficiency programs for the same measures. Bonus cash rebates are available for early program commitment and early project completion.

A catalog of incentives and equipment specifications is available here: Master Rebate Catalog.

The DIRA Program is available to large dairy industry customers served by PG&E on a first-come, first-served basis only while funding lasts. The DIRA Program runs through December 31, 2012 and may be modified or terminated without notice.

Program Services

The DIRA Program provides project analysis and on-site energy audits, cash rebates, bonuses and a variety of other services to assist customers with project development and implementation. Customers who participate in the program and commit to installing the recommended upgrades can take advantage of a variety of installation support services including:
